Erdoğan said 2028! The Minister gave a date for early elections

Speaking at the AKP Trabzon Provincial Headquarters' Extended Provincial Advisory Council meeting, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a striking statement. Uraloğlu pointed to the end of 2027 as the date for the election.

The Minister said, "Living the future, this is how I live it. We have a presidential election ahead of us. That presidential election will be in 2027, 2028... But I think it will probably be in 2027. Independent of my duties, we were following the presidential and parliamentary elections in Trabzon that evening, and suddenly, let's say we're towards the end of 2027. What I see is this: our President is clearly the President again. I'm experiencing this, and I pray to God."

AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in response to the opposition's calls for early elections, insisted on 2028, saying to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, "Presidential and parliamentary elections will be held in 2028, and Local Elections will be held in 2029, Mr. Özgür." he used the expressions.
