A Chinese company has introduced a new liquid-cooled charger capable of delivering a full 1,600 kW of power. The technology, the company says, can add 100 kilometers of range to a vehicle in just one minute.

The cost is also a major obstacle. The special liquid-cooled hardware required for such megawatt chargers is quite expensive. A single device costs around 9,600 to 14,300 euros.
