Good news about Altay tank after PARS ALPHA

Görgün inspected the BMC Ankara armored vehicle production facility in the Kahramankazan district and received information from the authorities.
Pointing out that both armored vehicle production and the engine and powertrain production needed by armored vehicles will be carried out at the facility, Görgün said that the construction activities of the facility are continuing rapidly.
Görgün gave the following information regarding the delivery of the tanks:
"As we promised this year, we will be delivering our first tanks to our hero army that will come out of serial production. Our current plans are to open our facility in August, to start and continue the process for the production of all our needed armored vehicles. The Altay tank project we are carrying out is a high-tech platform that is eagerly awaited. Over 600 companies are working on this platform. Of course, our main contractor BMC and companies such as ASELSAN, ROKETSAN and HAVELSAN are working. After delivering 3 tanks in 2025, we will deliver 11 next year, then 41 and 30 the following year, totaling 85 vehicles."
Stating that a total of 165 tanks will be delivered in 2028, Görgün emphasized that the tank has many high-tech subsystems when considering its firepower, command control and auxiliary systems in terms of its operational capability.
Görgün said that Turkey is in a valuable position in the world in terms of land vehicles and that more than 4,500 armored vehicles have been delivered to approximately 50 countries.
Underlining that localization efforts are continuing in both the engine and powertrain sectors, Görgün said:
"The 400 horsepower, 600 horsepower, 800 horsepower, 1000 horsepower and 1500 horsepower BATU engine that we will use in the Altay tank are designed and produced in the facilities we see right next to us. We will eliminate the dependency on foreign countries in these engine and power transmission systems and will be using the engines and power transmission organs that we produce in all systems in land vehicles. Our work to increase the local and national production rate continues. We will continue our understanding of minimizing the dependency on foreign countries and being self-sufficient when needed."
BMC Board Chairman Fuat Tosyalı also stated that they will be able to supply domestic and national engines for many of the armored vehicles with the production to be made in the facilities, and said, "Our armored vehicle testing area in the facility is at the most advanced level when compared to its examples in the world. In addition, there is a modern training center in our facility. We have now started the countdown for mass production. We have made the new Altay tank ready for mass production."
The factory area will be 840 thousand square meters in total, including the BMC Power facility. The serial production line consists of 63 thousand square meters of closed area. The facility includes part preparation, welded manufacturing, final operation, sandblasting and paint shop, assembly lines and a test track.
