İmamoğlu called out from Silivri: Your anxiety is not in vain, it is time for you to leave.

The striking message of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is detained in Silivri Prison, was shared on the 'Presidential Candidate Office' account.

In his message, İmamoğlu said, "Everyone knows that your anxiety is not in vain, because it is time for you to leave," and reacted to the cancellation of his master's degree and called for ballot boxes.

İmamoğlu's message is as follows:

"You can't put out forest fires,

You can't put out the fire in the kitchen,

You can't put out the fire in the justice system,

Most importantly, you cannot extinguish the fire in the hearts of the nation!

"GO BACK AND LOOK AT THE WRECKAGE YOU HAVE CREATED WITH YOUR OWN HANDS"

Look back at this wreckage you created with your own hands: A bureaucracy that has become a slave to its rotten system, that takes no responsibility, that looks for someone to blame for every mistake.

You're the one who canceled Istanbul's drinking water project with a single signature. You're the one who didn't inform 16 million Istanbul residents, İSKİ, or the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and you're the one who hid it for fear of announcing it.

You are the one who opened up a forest, agricultural land and water basin the size of 5 Beylikdüzü to profiteering under the name of "Plunder Istanbul" without even disclosing to whom they were sold.

You are the one who has rendered the DSI, a long-established state institution, inoperable and caused tens of billions of liras of public loss with the Melen Dam, which has remained unfinished for 13 years.

Even though we repeatedly warned our metropolitan mayors about global warming and the risk of major forest fires in 2021, you are the one who failed to take precautions and intervene in the fires.

"YOU ARE THE ONE WHO DECLARED THOSE WHO DID NOT VOTE TERRORISTS"

You are the one who declared those who did not vote for him as “terrorists” and now you are trying to shift the responsibility to the opposition and the municipalities.

And now…

Even in this environment, you leave your job and have my master's degree revoked out of fear.
