iOS 26 comes with problems again; iPhone battery life may decrease warning

Apple released iOS 26, which it introduced in June, for supported iPhone models on September 15th. This new operating system version, which includes changes made to the new design language, brought with it issues. The company issued a warning before users complained about battery life being affected, a common complaint after every major update.
The company made a statement that battery life may be temporarily affected with iOS 26.
Those who noticed this supposedly temporary issue flocked to forums. With iOS 26, users, especially those with iPhone models lower than the iPhone 15, began reporting that their battery life had doubled within 20 minutes.
New features after updates cause older models to consume more power. Apple states that optimizations with new software updates will address these issues.
Apple's statement on the issue is as follows:
"Immediately after completing an update, especially a major version update, you may notice a temporary impact on battery life and thermal performance. This is because your device needs time to complete the installation process in the background, index data and files, download new items, and update apps."
