Astronaut Zena Cardman, who is serving on the International Space Station, shared a breathtaking time-lapse image she took of the South Pacific on her social media account.
The recording clearly shows the northern lights, in green and purple hues, glowing in the darkness of space, the slowly rising constellation of Orion, and satellites floating in the distance.
The video also featured fascinating moments of the solstice line on Earth.
