Apple faces geopolitical pressure. Will increase US investments by $100 billion

Technology giant Apple has tentatively approved a $100 billion increase in investment in the American economy. White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett announced the announcement in an interview with Fox Business Network.
Early in his presidency, Donald Trump announced that he would impose tariffs of at least 25 percent on iPhones if they were imported from factories outside the United States.
In response to these declarations, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced in February that the company would invest $500 billion in the US over the next three years.
In order to avoid tensions in economic relations, the company moved part of the production of the latest smartphone models from Chinese factories to India.
In the third quarter of the 2024/25 fiscal year, i.e. from April 1 to June 30, Apple had revenues of USD 94 billion, of which revenues from iPhone sales exceeded USD 44.5 billion.
However, given the open conflict over the duties to be paid by Indian refineries that purchase and process Russian crude oil, it cannot be ruled out that a decision will have to be made on another production transfer.
Therefore, after talks between the company's representatives and the federal administration, Donald Trump will tonight announce a new investment package of $100 billion for Apple to build new factories in the US.
