Meta Ray-Ban Display: Facebook Group launches information glasses with display

Meta Ray-Ban Display. A private display integrated into the right lens of the glasses appears when needed and disappears when not needed.
The tech industry has been working on ordinary-looking glasses that can display information for years. Meta is now the first of its major rivals to bring such a device to market.
The Facebook-owned company Meta is launching glasses that can display information to users in one of the lenses. The device, called the Meta Ray-Ban Display, can display text messages, photos, and videos, among other things.
Price from $799
The glasses worn by Zuckerberg on stage at the Meta Connect conference are somewhat bulkier than conventional frames and are particularly noticeable due to their significantly thicker temples . Meta claims a battery life of up to six hours on a single charge. The display built into the right lens has a resolution of 600 x 600 pixels. The device will be available in the US at the end of September, starting at $799.Meta has for years considered glasses with cameras, microphones, speakers—and now even displays—the best way to interact with artificial intelligence in everyday life. This allows the software to see what users see and thus gain context to be truly useful.
Competition from Google – and maybe Apple?
Google showed prototypes of similarly functioning glasses at its developer conference in May, but there's no information on when they might be launched. Apple has reportedly been working on such technology for years, but has so far only released a headset that can capture the surroundings with cameras and display it on screens in front of the eyes, along with additional digital content.horizont
