WhatsApp recently added 18 new colors to iPhone chat themes , bringing the total number of options available to customize the interface to 38. It was only a matter of time before they arrived on Android , and Meta 's app has just added the same additional tones to Google 's operating system. Therefore, we're going to explain what these colors are and all the customization options available.
Personalization is an increasingly valued tool by users, and WhatsApp knows this. - By chat : Enter a chat, tap the three dots at the top, select "Themes," and choose a color. This changes the color of the chat bubbles, background, and small icons.
- For the entire app : Go to Settings - Chats - Chat Theme and select a color that will be applied to all your conversations.
The feature is compatible with both light mode and dark mode , so the new colors adapt to either option and do not affect the reading of messages or the design itself. For now, only some people using the beta version of WhatsApp on Android (2.25.19.2) can try out these new colors, but the feature will be gradually activated for more users in the coming weeks.
