Nightdive Studios has announced the release of the Turok Trilogy Bundle for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch in a physical retail package. The collection includes the remastered versions of Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, all bundled together on a single disc or cartridge for the first time. The collection is set to launch on October 31st, with pre-orders now open on Atari.com and at a variety of international retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart.
The Turok Remastered Trilogy is a modernization effort that brings back one of the most iconic franchises of the 1990s. The first installment, originally released in 1997, introduced players to a 3D world filled with traps, enemies, and deadly weapons, establishing itself as one of the pioneers of first-person shooters on consoles. The remastered versions now offer high-definition textures, improved lighting, advanced rendering, and full controller support with platform-specific functionality.
In the first Turok, the protagonist—a time-traveling warrior—finds himself in a lost land torn apart by chaos. A tyrant known as “The Campaigner” seeks to reassemble the destructive power of the Chronoscepter, an ancient artifact capable of shattering the barriers of time. Turok must recover the weapon’s scattered fragments to stop his rise to universal domination.
The second episode, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, opens with the destruction of the Chronoscepter in the bowels of a volcano, an act that unleashes an even more fearsome threat: the Primagen. The player will have to face new creatures, more complex missions and an improved arsenal, with the addition of a multiplayer mode that expands the possibilities of action.
Shadow of Oblivion, the third and final chapter of the classic series, introduces two selectable protagonists: Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, siblings of the main character of the second game. The two are called to fight against the dark being known as Oblivion and his followers, after the presumed death of their brother. A conclusion full of tension and narrative choices, which closes the arc of the saga with a more articulated narrative and a more modern game structure.
