AWS crashed, apps stopped working

Amazon Web Services experienced a widespread outage on Monday morning, affecting services on other platforms as well. "We can confirm an increase in error rates and latencies for multiple AWS Services in the US-EAST-1 Region," Amazon.com said on its AWS health dashboard. User complaints began to rise just after 7:30 a.m. London time, with data from Down Detector showing thousands of user reports. Artificial intelligence company Perplexity said the outage on its AWS service "impacted website stability." A representative for Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
