BMC Dazzles with New Generation Armored Vehicles and Domestically Produced Engines

The launch of BMC's new vehicles, which showcased military vehicles equipped with advanced technology and domestic and national engine and transmission systems developed by BMC POWER at the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair, one of the world's most prestigious defense industry fairs, was held with the presence of Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün and the participation of BMC Chairman Fuat Tosyalı.
BMC, Turkey's most established commercial and defense industry vehicle manufacturer, continues to represent Türkiye's defense industry power at the highest level with its wide product range in both land vehicles and engine and powerplant segments. At IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair, one of the world's most prestigious defense industry fairs, BMC showcased its advanced technology-equipped military vehicles and domestically produced engine and transmission systems developed by BMC POWER. The event received high praise from visitors for its new military vehicles, including the New Armored Cargo and Personnel Carrier, the Armored Tank Carrier, and the ALTUĞ 8x8 105 mm Gun Tank Destroyer. The launch of the new vehicles was held with the presence of President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün and the participation of BMC Chairman of the Board of Directors Fuat Tosyalı.
IDEF 2025, the 17th annual event bringing together global defense industry professionals, will take place at the Istanbul Expo Center from July 22-27, 2025. BMC is showcasing its extensive product range, representing Türkiye's defense industry strength in both land vehicles and engine and powertrain segments.
BMC Chairman Fuat Tosyalı stated at the IDEF Fair that BMC is proud to introduce new vehicles, designed and manufactured entirely by Turkish engineers, specifically designed to meet the strategic needs of our military. Tosyalı noted that they will be showcasing the TURAN 4x4 Armored Cargo and Personnel Carrier, the ZEYBEK 8x8 Armored Recovery Vehicle and Armored Tank Transporter, the ZEYBEK 4x4 – 5 Ton Tactical Wheeled Vehicle, the ALTUĞ 8x8 Armored Combat Vehicle (with a 35-millimeter gun turret), and the Altuğ 8x8 "Tank Hunter" (with a 105 mm gun turret) for the first time at this fair. He said, "With these products, which we have developed using domestic and national resources and considering the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, we will strengthen our army's operational power in the field."
The fair also saw significant interest in the 100% domestically produced engines and transmissions developed and launched by engine and power pack manufacturer BMC POWER for naval and land platforms. Fuat Tosyalı also commented on this matter, saying, “BMC POWER has become a source of pride for our country in the development and production of engines and power packs, the most strategic area for achieving 100% localization in our defense industry. With the Mavi Batu and Fırtına Power Packs we launched at this fair, we will continue to contribute to our country's domestic and national defense industry goals for both naval and land vehicles.”
BMC EXHIBITED ITS NEW VEHICLES FOR THE FIRST TIMEAt IDEF 2025, BMC launched its new military vehicles, all developed by Turkish engineers, and showcased them to visitors for the first time. BMC's new Armored Cargo and Personnel Carrier, Armored Tank Carrier, and the ALTUĞ 8x8 105mm gun-equipped tank destroyer version are being showcased for the first time at IDEF 2025. Designed in response to field needs, these new vehicles reflect BMC's R&D strengths, technological infrastructure, and innovative vision. These vehicles, developed to meet today's combat conditions, are expected to attract significant interest in both domestic and international markets.
BMC POWER is showcasing its 100% domestically produced and nationally produced engines and transmissions for land and sea platforms at the fair. Developed for land and sea platforms with power outputs ranging from 400 HP to 1,500 HP, these engine and transmission systems are concrete examples of Türkiye's vision to reduce foreign dependency in the defense industry.
