Olga Malinkiewicz isn't giving up on Salue. This is how she wants to gain money and control over the company.

- Olga Malinkiewicz aims to raise €4 million, which is the equivalent of approximately PLN 16.8 million. After the first few days of fundraising, she has raised €1,800 from 43 contributors.
- Saule was working on perovskites, flexible, lightweight, and ultra-thin solar cells. They were intended to be a much cheaper alternative to traditional photovoltaic panels.
- In mid-September 2025, the board of Columbus Energy, the current leading shareholder, extended an invitation to state institutions to engage in negotiations regarding the sale of the technology.
Olga Malinkiewicz is the co-founder of Saule and Saule Technologies. They focused on the development of perovskites, flexible, lightweight, ultra-thin, and semi-transparent photovoltaic panels intended to compete with traditional photovoltaic panels.
In 2020, Columbus Energy, a company operating in the photovoltaic industry, became a shareholder of Saule Technologies.
Two appeals for the takeover of Saule by state institutionsAfter initially good cooperation, a conflict eventually arose between Saule's shareholders. The issue concerned the pace of development of perovskite technology. Columbus and his partners assessed that despite numerous investments (Columbus estimates the amount to be over PLN 270 million), the technology was still underdeveloped and unsuitable for commercial application.
As a result of the conflict, in May 2025 Olga Malinkiewicz was dismissed from the Saule management board.
In early September 2025, it announced that the supervisory board of Saule had appointed Karol Spaliński , a lawyer from Hanglung Law Biernat & Kossacki, as an advisor to the board.
- This information removes any doubt that Piotr Kurczewski from DC24 ASI and Dawid Zieliński from Columbus Energy SA not only planned, but also started preparing Saule for sale to a buyer from China - wrote Olga Malinkiewicz on LinkedIn.
A few days later, she appealed to Prime Minister Donald Tusk to intervene in the matter of protecting Saule's perovskite cell technology from being sold abroad.
A few days later, Columbus offered to sell Saule shares to state-owned entities. The invitation was sent to the Minister of National Defense, the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the Minister of Energy, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology, and the CEO of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (Polish Armaments Group). Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa announced that it was "analyzing" Columbus's offer .
Fundraising for 4 million eurosAfter Columbus submitted an offer to sell Saule shares, Olga Malinkiewicz launched an online fundraiser to help her regain control of Saule.
"Dear Friends, I have been fighting the hostile takeover of Saule for almost six months. I have already won a media campaign to defend Saule's good name. Now I must defend Saule's intellectual property rights in courts in five jurisdictions around the world. The illegal takeover of Saule has deprived me of my income, and I have exhausted all my savings fighting for Saule. I am asking for your help to regain control of Saule and keep it in Europe for the good of all," wrote Olga Malinkiewicz on social media.
She explains that she organized this fundraiser to raise funds to cover legal costs related to protecting Saule's intellectual property.
In total, she hopes to raise €4 million, which is the equivalent of approximately PLN 16.8 million. After the first few days of fundraising, she has raised €1,800 from 43 contributors. There are still 88 days left until the end of the fundraiser.
