Pegasus Management Shows Power in Spain

The management of Pegasus Airlines, which recently started direct flights between Istanbul and Seville, attended the invitation organized by the Spanish Embassy. Pegasus, which promoted these flights at the special invitation organized by the Seville Tourism Office, aims to establish a strong connection between the two countries with direct flights.
The event was attended by Seville Mayor Jose Luis Sanz, Spanish Embassy Tourism Attaché Gonzalo Ceballos, Cultural Attaché Enrique Planas, Commercial Attaché Ignacio Enriquez and Istanbul Consul General Ana Maria Menendez. Pegasus Airlines CEO Güliz Öztürk, Deputy General Manager Responsible for Trade Onur Dedeköylü and Sales and Route Development Group Director Emre Pekesen also attended the event.
Pegasus Airlines CEO Güliz Öztürk said, “We are very happy with the great interest in the Seville flights we added to our flight network in September 2024. I believe that with these flights we have built a bridge between the two countries and strengthened economic and cultural ties. We will continue to add new pages to the common story of Türkiye and Spain.”
Seville Mayor José Luis Sanz stated that Pegasus flights provide a stronger connection between Spain and the Turkish market, saying, “In 2024, we welcomed more than 11,100 Turkish visitors, an increase of 27.67% compared to the previous year, and the number of overnight stays increased by 42.14%.”
Pegasus Airlines aims to further strengthen historical and cultural ties with this new direct flight.
