YouTube has announced the amount it has paid to content creators since 2021

YouTube continues to be a source of income for many creators. YouTube has released a new statement addressing this. Since 2021, more than $100 billion has been paid out to creators on the platform.
In a statement celebrating the platform's 20th anniversary, YouTube's chief product officer, Johanna Vulic, praised the ability of content creators to "shape culture and entertainment in ways we haven't even considered before."
The company also notes that the number of YouTube channels generating over $100,000 in revenue from TV views in 2025 is up 45 percent from 2024. Google reported earlier this year that its video platform has led in TV views for several consecutive months.
Meanwhile, several new AI-powered features have been announced for YouTube Shorts. Creators will be able to edit their videos with AI, adding music, transitions, and even voiceovers. Among the new features is the ability to turn dialogue from related videos into a song for use in a short video.
