Etihad Airways Begins Flights to Atlanta

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has officially launched its new route in the United States, Abu Dhabi – Atlanta. This new route, which strengthens the company’s presence in the US market, was initially planned to operate four times a week.
The new route is operated with Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, one of Etihad's most modern fleets. The aircraft, which stands out with its fuel efficiency and environmentally friendly features, also increases comfort on long-haul journeys with its quiet cabin structure and new generation interior design.
Etihad Airways announced that due to high occupancy rates and strong early booking demand, flights on this route will be increased to daily as of November 2025.
Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves noted that Atlanta is a strategic point in economic and cultural terms, saying:
“Atlanta is a major hub for the southeastern United States. Our new flights provide seamless connectivity between the region and the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Asia. Passengers can enter Atlanta as easily as domestic passengers through the U.S. Customs Preclearance System at Zayed International Airport.”
Neves also noted that Abu Dhabi is becoming increasingly attractive to American tourists, adding that elements such as beaches, theme parks, cultural events and rich cuisine are of great interest. “The great interest in the Atlanta route confirms this interest. That is why we have made the decision to launch a daily flight early,” he said.
The new Atlanta route is seen as a significant step in Etihad Airways’ global expansion strategy, as the company aims to connect more destinations between the US and the Middle East in the coming period.
